Sanjay Dutt has spoken out about his UK visa rejection that affected the filming of Son of Sardaar 2. The comedy-drama, which is currently being shot in the UK, has faced a casting change after Dutt’s visa was denied. Ravi Kishan is stepping in for him.
In an interview, Sanjay Dutt expressed his disappointment and frustration. "They gave me the Visa (initially). in the United Kingdom Everything was ready. Then a month later you are cancelling my Visa! I gave you (the UK government) all the papers and everything. Why did you give me the Visa (in the first place)? You shouldn’t have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the laws?" he questioned.
He continued, “I am not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong. They need to rectify this. I am a law-abiding citizen. I go according to the law and I respect every country’s law.”
Dutt's visa rejection stems from his involvement in the 1993 bombings case, where he was found guilty under TADA and the Arms Act. Despite this setback, Dutt remains hopeful for a resolution.
Ajay Devgn, who is producing the sequel, recently shared the film’s Mahurat on Instagram, marking the start of its UK shoot under director Vijay Kumar Arora. The film is a follow-up to the 2012 hit and will continue without Sonakshi Sinha.
