Puma is introducing the most cushioning it’s ever put in a running sneaker. The Puma MagMax Nitro every day running shoe boasts a massive 46mm stack height with an 8mm drop for its nitrogen-infused foam midsole. The bouncy shoe is intended as an entry point for any runner as it offers maximum cushioning and propulsion. A breathable engineered mesh upper is reinforced with PwrTape, and the PumaGrip outsole is intended to grip a variety of surfaces. Extra cushioning hugs the heel, and the upper is made with at least 20 percent recycled materials. “MagMax Nitro is our most cushioned every day running shoe yet – meaning you get more NitroFoam than we have ever put in a running shoe,” Puma vice president of Innovation Romain Girard said in a press release. “It’s a gateway for people to access running, particularly when you need an extra boost to get out the door.
