KERC directs Bescom to spend money on upgrading infrastructure rather than smart meters 

With Bescom replacing more than 17 lakh old meters in Bengaluru Metropolitan Area Zone with digital meters, KERC is of the opinion that replacing them with smart meters would be unnecessary
