Fuel tax cuts loom as a last resort for relief

The government is considering cutting oil taxes and contributions to the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund as a last resort to ease the burden of high fuel prices, following measures to reduce gross refining margins (GRM), according to Energy Minister Akanat Promphan.
