Finally our journey is at an end.
Will Grant pick Juliana or Litia to receive the final rose?
It doesn’t matter and no one cares.
The love story we are all here for is Muzzy and her Big Dumb Boyfriend.
I wasn’t sure how Muzzy would react to any of our cats because she wasn’t a huge fan of them at the rescue, but she came into our house, locked onto Fish, did heart eyes, and went “You my Big Dumb Boyfriend!”
And Fish, who is too dumb to have a concept of time, just assumed she had always been there and had always cuddled with him and went with it.
As I am typing this Rich is carrying Fish around and Muzzy is making chirpy squeaks until he set him down by her.
Anyway, we open back up in the Dominican Republic where Litia is meeting Grant’s family. Taylor, Grant’s sister, says she liked Litia since day one.
Litia tells his mother, Renee, that if Grant proposes she’s 1000% ready to say yes.
Grant tells his dad his biggest concern about Litia is that she wants kids right away. Grant feels like he wants time to just be a couple first.
The same day Juliana meets his family as well (they usually at least pretend to space this out).
Grant’s dad asks Juliana about her Italian family because he grew up in an Italian neighborhood in NY. He’s here for sauce on Sundays.
Renee asks Juliana if she’s told Grant she’s in love with him yet and she says no, even though she “can see [herself] being in love with him.”
Renee cautions Grant and seems more on Team Litia.
As they leave, Grant tells Juliana he loves her, and she reciprocates.
Muzzy is stalking a bug right now and the suspense about whether or not she catches it is more intense than this show.
We cut back to a studio in LA where Jesse points out that Grant has now told two women he’s in love with them.
We know, Jesse, we’ve been watching.
He asks Bachelor/ettes from prior seasons what it’s like to be in love with two people at once and I’m not recapping it because it’s boring and a time-filler.
For their final date, Grant and Juliana head out on a boat and sip champagne.
During dinner, Grant flat out asks if she’s ready for an engagement or if she’ll break his heart. Juliana doesn’t answer directly but says she’ll handle his heart with care. Then she changes her mind and says she’s ready to marry him.
Privately, Juliana wonders if he’s having the same conversations with Litia.
For their final date, Grant and Litia go horseback riding.
Muzzy: HORSE BUDGET.
It starts to rain and they are just drenched. Poor horsies.
Grant says the best part of this journey so far has been getting to know Litia.
Later that night they talk more about having kids. Grant asks how she would handle being asked to wait longer to have kids once they’re married. She says she wants him to feel ready, but she keeps bringing up her age (31) and the fact that she wants a big family.
This episode is so boring you guys. They obviously need to fill space and it’s just a lot of rambling conversations.
The next day Grant tells his dad that he feels like Litia is the safer option, but he has more fun with Juliana.
Neil Lane shows up and Grant picks out a ring but they don’t show which one, which is annoying.
I get the impression Grant still hasn’t made up his mind as he’s riding to the proposal site.
Litia arrives first. She’s wearing a dress with a really tight skirt and it takes FOREVER for her to make it into the building.
She tells Grant that she started falling for him during week two. She says it was hard for her to hear how lonely his childhood was and she wants to create a family with him where he’s never alone again.
Grant tells her his connection with Juliana is stronger and he’s not her person, and she’s got serious murder eyes going on.
“It’s not about you,” he says.
“It’s ALL about you,” she says.
Girl is PISSED.
“You’re different than I thought,” she tells him.
She also tells him that Juliana is beautiful and deserves love and she hopes Juliana has a lot of questions for him.
Litia tells him she feels misled and she’s angry and sad.
After a break, they cut back to the studio in LA and bring Litia out.
She says she feels like she got the rug pulled out from under her. I think, based on the conversations we saw them have, that’s fair. I don’t know that Litia saw all his concerns about having a bunch of kids and having them soon, since he brought that up more with his family and in the confessionals.
She says watching it back, “he made the right choice.”
Again, I think this all boils down to the kids thing. I almost think the idea of having a large family didn’t really register with him until he saw her huge family.
Litia says that Grant told her at one point, “I know it’s you. I could stop the whole show now because I know it’s you.”
They bring Grant out and Litia confronts him about telling her that he knew she was wife from the second group date, for telling her that after their first one-on-one that he knew she was the one (and telling her mom this too), and saying that he could stop the show because he was sure it was her.
Woof.
Also please enjoy this photo of Muzzy helping me.
Muzzy doesn’t buy Grant’s shit either.
He makes kind of a half-hearted apology. I honestly think she probably was the One until Fantasy Suites and he found out he had a lot of sexual chemistry with Juliana.
Also, for real, is anyone else watching this show because the way Litia talks and her facial expressions remind me to SO MUCH of Kourtney Kardashian.
Litia tells him that she gave him her timeline on kids during week two and the fact that it was an issue “was news to me watching it back.”
She also says “I’m excited this will be my last time talking to you.”
Damn, Girl.
Then we get the footage of Grant proposing to Juliana and it’s way less interesting than the shit Litia was sharing, that’s for sure.
They bring Juliana out in the studio in LA and we get to see the ring (Finally) which is a gorgeous emerald cut. Also Juliana’s hair is a lot darker now and it looks great on her.
They announce that they’re moving to Boston together. Jesse announces that the show is sending them to Italy for vacation. I’m sure we’ll get lots of “happy couple” footage.
So that’s it. What did you think of the season?
