I settled in to knit this morning, but Muzzy said “No, Mama” and draped herself across my arms.
So we’re doing The Bachelor instead because she’s so little she can lay across me while I still type.
Muzzy: I am huge! Fierce!
Ma’am you are six and a half pounds.
Next up on the travel portion of the show is Edinburgh, Scotland. Next week is apparently Hometowns and man they are fast-tracking this season.
Muzzy: I approve.
Jesse tells the women that there will be no roses given out on the dates this week.
The first one-on-one date goes to Juliana.
They leave the hotel on a helicopter.
Muzzy: HELICOPTER BUDGET!
They get to spend the day in a castle where a stylist named Vixie Ray gives them a makeover.
Grant is really excited to wear a kilt with a sporran. He wants to know what he’s supposed to keep in there and the obvious answer is…
Muzzy: BATTLE KITTEN!
Then they dance with other couples in a ballroom where a quartet plays “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).”
Back at the hotel the group date card comes and Zoe learns she’s not getting a one-on-one this week. She hasn’t gotten a one-on-one yet and she says she’s “absolutely devastated.” She goes to bed early.
During the dinner they aren’t allowed to eat, Juliana says someone in her childhood struggled with addiction and as a result she didn’t have a very safe or nurturing childhood. She says she acts happy all the time even when she’s struggling.
Grant has also been open about his dad’s struggle with drug addiction and how he felt alone as a child.
Juliana tells him she’s falling in love with him.
Next up is the group date where they attend a highland fair. Grant changes into a kilt again.
Carolina complains the entire time because she hates group dates.
Muzzy: Did she not watch this show before?
She doesn’t participate in the activities, so Grant goes to talk to her.
She cries and says she feels like he has stronger connections with the other women.
The other women feel like she’s stealing time with Grant again, which annoys them because she’s not even sure if she wants to be there.
It starts to rain and the group moves into a castle for the evening.
Zoe pulls him aside because she wants to know why she’s the only one without a one-on-one. He reassures her that he sees her.
Back on the drinking couches, the other women tell Carolina how annoyed they are with her. Dina calls her ungrateful.
There’s this whole blown-out fight between Dina and Carolina and I’m not going to recap it exactly because it’s 10:30 a.m. and I can’t start drinking yet.
Carolina goes to talk to Grant which sets everyone off.
Later Dina tells Grant that he can’t trust Carolina and he’s conflicted because so many of the women have told him the same thing. He says there’s been too many “consistent issues.”
Lastly we get Litia’s one-on-one date.
They explore Edinburgh, try some Haggis, listen to a poem reading, and meet two super cool older ladies who are hanging out knitting.
You know, I could be knitting right now…
Muzzy: No. Cuddles.
During the dinner they aren’t allowed to eat, Litia tells Grant that her family is very religious (she’s LDS) and she’s never dated outside her faith.
Then it’s time for the Dreaded Rose Ceremony and we are going STRAIGHT TO ROSE!
Before Grant comes out, Carolina pulls Dina aside and says she values her friendship and she’s upset about how things went down this week. She says she doesn’t know if she’ll see her after tonight and she wants to stay friends. They hug.
After much dramatic music, Sarafiena, Carolina and Alexe go home.
