Welcome back to Cover Snark!

The Bride Hunt by Jane Feather. A classic clinch cover. The woman is wearing a white, off the shoulder dress. The man has on black pants and the woman is peeling his white shirt off. However, the title font is in loopy script and it does no favors to the word hunt.

From Belle: Someone needs to be extra careful with their font choice, especially around words that end with -unt.

Sarah: NOBODY noticed this?

Amanda: Would 100% read a book called The Bride Cunt.

Sarah: Absolutely would.

I still cannot get over this cover. Literally nobody noticed? OR, someone DID notice and held their tongue, which, okay, I respect the commitment to chaos.

Royal Retelling by Holly Kerr. An illustrated cover. There's a man in jeans and a white long sleeve shirt in the foreground. He has on a backpack or what looks like backpack straps. He has dusty brown hair and a gold crown. Behind him is a woman with purple hair, about as tall as he is. She has a gray skirt and a black, three-quarter sleeve shirt. Behind them both are a castle and forest. The cover background is a neon blue.

From MegCat: By the looks of the expressions on their faces, they’re in the toilet queue and whoever’s currently in the one and only cubicle is taking forever.

Sarah: Today’s edition of “Faces and necks are hard to draw.”

She looks like she’s about to hoist that L and swing it at his head. Think it’ll kill him?

Amanda: You can tell she hates his Burger King crown and is imagining ripping it off his head.

Devil's Promise by Tammy Andrews. A close up photograph of a man's face in black and white. He's covering his nose and mouth with his hand, which is heavily tattooed.

From C: I know the big bad mafia man is trying to look all secretive, but I can’t shake the feeling that what he’s hiding is morning breath.

Sarah: The Devil’s Promise must begin with a gnarly fart.

Amanda: Or he’s about to throw up.

Sarah: Caught a bad smell.

red with white trim. On the bottom half is a close up of a real man's torso.

From Maeve: This is a series of 12 shorts with different male torsos on each cover. There’s just so much on these covers to marvel at.

Sarah: She’s not lying – look at em all.

Those are…those are some torsos.

Amanda: The clipart legs are sending me. I also had to google “tatzelwurm” and now I have even more questions.

Sarah: Which year’s clip art book did those legs come from, do you think? 2002? 1996?
