Bioenergy a major plank of Thai power strategy

Thailand is preparing to elevate bioenergy to be a strategic pillar in its new power development plan (PDP), aiming to reduce the country's reliance on costly liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports and strengthen energy security, says an energy official familiar with the matter.
